A NATURAL APPROACH TO HEALING AND WELL-being

Welcome to a safe, supportive space offering a gentle, natural approach to healing and wellness — a place where you can release what feels heavy, reconnect with yourself and bring your mind, body and energy back into balance.

How I Want You to Feel When You Enter My Space

When you step into the Cocoon of Care, my intention is that you immediately feel safe, supported and grounded.

This is your space to exhale, settle your nervous system and return to yourself.

My treatments support your whole system through:

  • Nervous system regulation
  • Emotional release
  • Energetic alignment
  • Vibrational healing
  • Deep rest and relaxation
  • Gentle, natural transformation

The Cocoon of Care Experience

At Hand on Sole, the Cocoon of Care is more than a treatment - it is a quiet, restorative sanctuary where you can pause, breathe and reset.

Using a multidimensional blend of reflexology, Reiki and sound healing, each session is tailored to your emotional and physical needs. Whether you are experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, sleep imbalance or simply feeling disconnected, this is a space where your system can soften, release and return to balance.

My intention is always the same:

to help you relax, heal and let go of what no longer serves you, so your mind and body can reset, restore and rebalance.

Who I Support

My treatments are especially supportive for women experiencing:

  • Stress or burnout
  • Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Emotional heaviness or grief
  • Menopause‑related symptoms
  • Chronic tension
  • Overthinking or mental fatigue
  • Feeling disconnected or “not yourself”
  • Life transitions or emotional intensity

ABOUT ME

I am a qualified reflexologist, Reiki practitioner and sound healing therapist with a special interest in supporting women through stress, overwhelm, menopause and emotional fatigue. This work is not just my profession — it is my passion, my purpose and my lived experience.

My approach has been shaped by my own journey through grief, anxiety, insomnia, menopause and chronic tension. I understand how heavy life can feel, and how essential it is to have a safe space to rest, release and reconnect with yourself.

My style is gentle, intuitive and grounded in compassion. I hold space with softness and steady presence, creating an environment where you can arrive exactly as you are. Whatever you bring into the room, emotions, tension, silence, questions or simply the need to rest — is welcomed with deep respect and without judgement.

I believe wholeheartedly in the body’s natural ability to heal when given the right conditions. My intention is to create a calm, nurturing environment where you can soften, breathe and allow your whole system to settle — a place where your body and mind can deeply relax, unwind and begin to restore themselves from within.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient art and dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapeutic treatment that encourages your body to relax, restore, balance and heal itself naturally.

This is a holistic treatment and helps to balance the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of your whole body. It involves applying gentle pressure to reflex areas on your feet or hands to bring about a state of deep relaxation and to stimulate your body’s own healing processes. It can facilitate more vital energy, help boost your immune and circulation systems, relieve the effects of stress and tension, clear the body of toxins and create a stronger body and calmer mind.

Reflexology is a safe, natural therapy that helps give your body what it needs. The theory underlying reflexology is that the organs, nerves, glands and other parts of the body are connected to reflex areas or reflex points on the feet and hands.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REFLEXOLOGY?

Reflexology is all about bringing balance harmony and a sense of well-being to the body and can help on the physical as well as on an emotional level. After undergoing treatment, my clients feedback that they feel a deep sense of relaxation and calmness. Many individuals also report reduced tension, improvement with their sleep, patterns and overall mood. Leading to an enhanced sense of well-being. While the benefits can vary person to person, it’s also possible to experience improvements in other areas of your health and well-being as well.

These are some of the benefits of reflexology:

• Promotes natural healing for the body

• Promotes a deep sense of relaxation

• Promotes a calmer body and mind

• Releases stress & tension from the body

• Soothes muscle tension

• Promotes better sleep

• Boosts energy levels

• Helps to rebalance hormones

• Boosts the immune system

• Helps improve circulation and eliminates toxins from the body

• Stimulates the natural digestive function

• Helps with premenstrual tension and menopause

• Aids post-operative recovery

Some people find it works for them - some don't. The best way to find out is to try it!

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, energy‑based therapy that supports the body’s natural ability to relax, rebalance and heal. Using light, non‑invasive touch, Reiki helps the nervous system shift out of stress mode and into deep rest — the place where clarity, calm and emotional release can unfold.

You remain fully clothed and comfortable throughout, held in a soft, nurturing space.

Benefits of Reiki

Reiki may support:

  • A calmer, quieter mind
  • Emotional softening or release
  • Grounding after anxiety, burnout or overwhelm
  • A deeper sense of connection and inner steadiness
  • Improved sleep and restfulness
  • Relief from chronic tension
  • A feeling of being held, supported and rebalanced

Warmth, tingling or waves of emotion may arise — all are welcome and held with care.

What is Sound Healing?

Sound healing is a soothing vibrational therapy using therapeutic instruments — including the Flower of Life gong, Himalayan bowls, koshi chimes, ocean drum, rainstick and tuning forks — to guide the body into deep rest.

Vibrations move through the body like gentle waves, softening tension, quietening the mind and helping the whole system recalibrate.

Every session is unique. Your body takes exactly what it needs.

Benefits of Sound Healing

Sound healing may support:

  • Reduced overthinking and mental fatigue
  • Emotional release and nervous system regulation
  • Relief from chronic tension
  • Restorative, deeper sleep
  • Grounding and reconnection with self
  • A sense of spaciousness, clarity and inner harmony
  • A feeling of being soothed from the inside out

AFTERCARE & TAKEAWAYS

Please note the effects of reflexology are unique to each person and the body's response to treatment will be individual to you. Some people respond to reflexology more quickly than others and notice a sense of wellbeing, relaxation and an immediate improvement in their symptoms. Others, with longer term problems and ailments are likely to require more sessions. After one or two treatments your body may respond in a very noticeable way. Most people usually notice a difference after 4 treatments.

You may notice that you feel more tired, that some of your symptoms feel worse for a while, you have a headache, you feel emotional, or that you need to go to the toilet more often. Please do not worry as these are all positive signs that your body has responded to the treatment and is beginning the healing process. Any side effects should pass within 24-48 hours. If you are worried, please do not hesitate to contact me.

There are a few things that you can do to support yourself in the days following your treatment. This will maximise the effects of your treatment and minimise the potential for a healing response.

Good Hydration:

Drink plenty of water as this will to help keep you hydrated and flush out any toxins from the body and improve energy levels. The best way to do this is to sip water throughout the day or drink herbal teas. If you don't like water so much, try adding a slice of lime, lemon or even cucumber or fruit to it such as pineapple or strawberries.

Avoid Stimulants

Try to avoid drinking stimulants like tea, coffee and alcohol after your treatment as these will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

Good Nourishment:

Enjoy a light diet for the rest of the day to allow your body to put its energy into healing. Try and eat healthily with plenty of fresh fruit and colourful vegetables.

Breath, rest and reset:

Try and rest as much as you can after the treatment to allow your body time for self-healing and to help the treatment work to its full potential and be sure to indulge in a good night's sleep.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Is Reflexology suitable for me? Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between. However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment. The best advice is to call me to ask.

Please note: reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.

CONSULTATION

The first treatment involves a brief consultation and medical history with you to ensure that I can personalise and bespoke the treatment to you, taking into account both physical and non physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing so we can collaboratively get the best outcomes for you. All information is kept confidential and you will be asked to sign a consent form.

Please note: reflexology is a therapeutic not a medical treatment and I will not cure, diagnose or prescribe. However, I will discuss with you after the treatment any holistic wellbeing recommendations. Click here to view my 'Zen Den'.

TREATMENT

During the treatment I will encourage you to breathe, take deep breaths, relax, close your eyes and drift off to maximise the healing process and to get the best out of the treatment for you. I will apply gentle pressure using my thumb or fingers to your reflexes on your feet or hands by following a relaxation and reflexology sequence.

I will use a natural balm and will work on both feet and will finish the treatment with feedback and aftercare advice. If you have any questions or concerns during the treatment please do let me know.

RELAXATION

An hour just for you to step out of the 'hustle and bustle' of life to breathe, relax, re-energise, and reset. It involves you taking your socks and shoes off and reclining into my reflexology chair where I will make sure you are fully comfortable. Please wear comfortable clothing to maximise your relaxation. There is an option for hand reflexology, if this is more preferable.
