My intention is to provide you with a healing space and deeply relaxing experience for you to breathe, restore, reenergise and reset.
Hi, I am Beverley Lavall and I warmly welcome you to 'Hand on Sole' Reflexology. I am a qualified reflexologist having completed a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology at the London School of Reflexology. This included over 100 hours of practical client sessions, practical assessments and level 3 certification in Anatomy and Physiology and Infection Control and Prevention.
I am deeply passionate about this wonderful treatment and its natural, calming and healing benefits that all help to give your body a deep sense of relaxation. I’ve worked in the public sector and corporate work environment for the last 30 years as a Human Resources Manager and have seen first-hand the negative impact of stress on health and wellbeing.
I fell in love with reflexology during a retreat. I was fortunate enough to be given a treatment by a fellow guest who was a reflexologist, and the rest as they say is history. It was the most relaxing treatment that I had ever experienced and was really insightful to my health and wellbeing. From that point onwards I wanted to train and become a reflexologist so I could give the same experience and treatment to others.
I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and have a First Aid certification. I am an accredited member of the Association of Reflexology (AoR), an independent Professional Reflexology Association in the UK. I am fully insured. I look forward to helping you on your well-being journey.
Reflexology is an ancient art and dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapeutic treatment that encourages your body to relax, restore, balance and heal itself naturally.
This is a holistic treatment and helps to balance the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of your whole body. It involves applying gentle pressure to reflex areas on your feet or hands to bring about a state of deep relaxation and to stimulate your body’s own healing processes. It can facilitate more vital energy, help boost your immune and circulation systems, relieve the effects of stress and tension, clear the body of toxins and create a stronger body and calmer mind.
Reflexology is a safe, natural therapy that helps give your body what it needs. The theory underlying reflexology is that the organs, nerves, glands and other parts of the body are connected to reflex areas or reflex points on the feet and hands.
Reflexology is all about bringing balance harmony and a sense of well-being to the body and can help on the physical as well as on an emotional level. After undergoing treatment, my clients feedback that they feel a deep sense of relaxation and calmness. Many individuals also report reduced tension, improvement with their sleep, patterns and overall mood. Leading to an enhanced sense of well-being. While the benefits can vary person to person, it’s also possible to experience improvements in other areas of your health and well-being as well.
These are some of the benefits of reflexology:
• Promotes natural healing for the body
• Promotes a deep sense of relaxation
• Promotes a calmer body and mind

Is Reflexology suitable for me? Reflexology is a therapy which can be received by anyone at any age, from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care, and everyone in between. However, there may occasionally be times when it is not suitable to provide a treatment. The best advice is to call me to ask.
Please note: reflexology should not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.
The first treatment involves a brief consultation and medical history with you to ensure that I can personalise and bespoke the treatment to you, taking into account both physical and non physical factors that might be affecting your wellbeing so we can collaboratively get the best outcomes for you. All information is kept confidential and you will be asked to sign a consent form.
Please note: reflexology is a therapeutic not a medical treatment and I will not cure, diagnose or prescribe. However, I will discuss with you after the treatment any holistic wellbeing recommendations. Click here to view my 'Zen Den'.
During the treatment I will encourage you to breathe, take deep breaths, relax, close your eyes and drift off to maximise the healing process and to get the best out of the treatment for you. I will apply gentle pressure using my thumb or fingers to your reflexes on your feet or hands by following a relaxation and reflexology sequence.
I will use a natural balm and will work on both feet and will finish the treatment with feedback and aftercare advice. If you have any questions or concerns during the treatment please do let me know.
An hour just for you to step out of the 'hustle and bustle' of life to breathe, relax, re-energise, and reset. It involves you taking your socks and shoes off and reclining into my reflexology chair where I will make sure you are fully comfortable. Please wear comfortable clothing to maximise your relaxation. There is an option for hand reflexology, if this is more preferable.
Please note the effects of reflexology are unique to each person and the body's response to treatment will be individual to you. Some people respond to reflexology more quickly than others and notice a sense of wellbeing, relaxation and an immediate improvement in their symptoms. Others, with longer term problems and ailments are likely to require more sessions. After one or two treatments your body may respond in a very noticeable way. Most people usually notice a difference after 4 treatments.
You may notice that you feel more tired, that some of your symptoms feel worse for a while, you have a headache, you feel emotional, or that you need to go to the toilet more often. Please do not worry as these are all positive signs that your body has responded to the treatment and is beginning the healing process. Any side effects should pass within 24-48 hours. If you are worried, please do not hesitate to contact me.
There are a few things that you can do to support yourself in the days following your treatment. This will maximise the effects of your treatment and minimise the potential for a healing response.
Drink plenty of water as this will to help keep you hydrated and flush out any toxins from the body and improve energy levels. The best way to do this is to sip water throughout the day or drink herbal teas. If you don't like water so much, try adding a slice of lime, lemon or even cucumber or fruit to it such as pineapple or strawberries.
Try to avoid drinking stimulants like tea, coffee and alcohol after your treatment as these will reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
Enjoy a light diet for the rest of the day to allow your body to put its energy into healing. Try and eat healthily with plenty of fresh fruit and colourful vegetables.
Try and rest as much as you can after the treatment to allow your body time for self-healing and to help the treatment work to its full potential and be sure to indulge in a good night's sleep.
My specific situation degrees me to offer my treatment to female clients only.
The perfect gift for all occasions: A gift voucher is ideal for Christmas, Birthdays, Mother’s and Father’s Day, Valentines.
